Yes the highway was needed and it is now only 2 hours to Bunbury.

The Rottnest Island Channel swim was held on Saturday the 20th of February. The race departed from Cottesloe Beach and finished at Thomson Bay, Rottnest island. The distance of the swim is 19.7km. The event categories are Solo, Duo and teams of four.

Thanks for the comments, I have also completed the swim but in a team event and also paddled it when my brother did a solo swim.

I’m looking forward to it next year,abit annoyed i could’nt get over in time for it this year.I remember my auntie done the swim a couple of years ago.Two or three months training but it will be a good challenge.
