After the incredible wet season the kimberley had some of the roads have been completely washed away. Lots of works happening between Broome and Kununurra. The Gibb River Road was still closed but is expected to open in the next week.

Another aerial shoot but this time the new bridge that has just opened along Tonkin Highway. The photos were taken a few days before it was opened.

Peta - Thanks Mark.. I would have loved to see the Kimberley after that last downfall, all that water rushing over the falls would have been amazing site. That first trip of yours would have to rate as one of the best for a long time. Christian should get some fantastic shots as it is still so green and plenty of water.
True North Mark - You do get around girl! Well captured as usual and yes, how much rain have they had up there this year! It was totally going off on our Trip 1 up there!
Peta - Ta Stuart and yes it is was amazing to see the Fitzroy River flowing. I think the bank would have been at least 14 ft if not higher in parts. I did manage to slide down one section to take a photo of a tree that had been washed up. I couldn’t get over all the erosion. We did get to the Pentecost River and again I was amazed at how much damage has been done. Hopefully I will get to the images from the trip but its just been so busy since I have been back.
Stuart Westmore - Great photos – is that Fitzroy Crossing? LOTS more water compared to a year ago!
