Painted Hills

While around the Lake Eyre Basin I took the opportunity to fly over the the Painted Hills at Sunrise. The Painted Hills is an area of 30km by 10km of sandstone hills a fragile lunar landscape of ochre-red and mustard yellow rock weathered over millions of years in pristine condition and flying over at sunrise the colours were amazing and it was a clear morning,( though a little cold with the door off) to view and photograph a unique and spectacular landscape. No roads exist into this wilderness and it can only be seen by air which makes it very special and keeps it in a pristine condition. Here is a selection from the Painted Hills.

Nicky Winmar Footy Carnival

The Nicky Winmar Carnival was held over 2 days and it was great to see all the young players come together from all over the state.

Cant believe how much development is going on around Caversham and the Swan Valley. The play area around St Leonards would have to be one of the best I have seen, great for kids of all ages.
