New Rail – Morawa

Had an interesting aerial shoot this week, 80kms of railway track. The countryside was amazing, so rich in colour and the fields had just been harvested so heaps of interesting patterns along the way.  With the cyclone up north pushing easterly winds down  it was extremely windy  and with the temperature around 36 degrees it made a very, very bumpy hot shoot. Thank goodness for Nikons high ISO, most shots were taken at 1/3200 sec anything less and it would have blurred.

Peta - Thanks Stuart, It was very interesting following 80kms of track through farmland and the salt lakes. Would love to go back to the area as there are so many salt lakes and loads of amazing patterns….

Stuart - Hi Peta. These are all sensational. My favourites are #5, 26-27, 33, 40 – but the list could go on. I would hate to be the apprentice on the constrcution when someone realises that that blue drum has been left behind… Great work.

Peta - Thanks Merv, Happy New year.
Yes it was very hot and extremely bumpy,I prefer it to be a lot smoother, you get a lot less bruises….
