A 3 day shoot in the Goldfields was interesting and with a unexpected shower and morning fog it was a successful and fun shoot.

Here is a selection of altered landscapes from the air. I have flown over many places in WA but had not explored the goldfields area at all. I found the scenery amazing with salt lakes expanding across so much of the area. Some beautiful homesteads are dotted through the Goldfields and are like little oasis…

The down side is hand pumping 400 liters of avgas in the cold…

They are such an interesting group of islands . Would love to stay on one o the islands, explore and go for a dive.
I love the Abrohlis Islands Peta and you have captured them well…Southern Group I take it!

Cottesloe Beach was ablaze in colour as the Havaiana Thong Challenge took place on Australia Day, Sydney won the title this year with a new world record of 2068 inflatable thongs joined end to end. Amazing effort to Perth who took out second with 1947.

Some great aerials again there Peta
Thanks Merv, it’s always great fun to do the thong challenge though the sea breeze was a lot stronger than last year.
Hi Peta.
I thought that was you up there. We had pulled up in the car park to have a look and saw the plane over head. I knew you were flying over TN so guessed that it was you over Cott. I took a couple of shots but a bit far away. Zoomed in I can see the door off and someone shooting.
Nice shots.
Cheers
Merv.

Thought I would post some photos from a trip to James Price Point and also some aerial photos that were taken along the coast of Broome. It is indeed a beautiful piece of landscape and I hope that it stays pristine for future generations to enjoy. Even though I only had an evening there it…
