Peta - A 400mm lens helps but there was no restriction when we flew over….

Adrian - So how did your pilot get so close when there was a notam restricting aircraft flying near the Vinson?

Peta - It would be very interesting, I have landed in 500m before, but the end of that runway is unforgiving…

Stuart - Nice work, Peta. Live the splashes of light from teh tug and the flags. How do you reckon you’d go landing on that deck…?

May 2, 2012 - 1:30 am

Peta - Yes thats what caught my eye, it was such a grey day and the little tug just stood out. Would have like to have got closer but wasn’t game…so the 400mm lens just had to do.

Charlene - That “little” tug is the brightest spot in all that military grey :)
